A senate seat will be open for '26 with Tina Smith retiring. Walz also clearly has higher aspirations now. This guy's apparent 'hit list' had outdated information (at least one politician listed was already dead by natural cause) and didn't include one of the actual targets.
The guy's a bit of a mystery. He might have had some sort of psychotic break in recent times because based on what has been reported, he seemed to have had some academic achievements (of sorts) and made a large family before. As of late, he was apparently living separately from his family.
The whole thing with him having a 'private security' company with a car that could easily be mistaken for a state police vehicle is bizarre to me.
