My take? Trump could do anything, and I wouldn't regret voting for him. Not because I'm a cultist, but because Candidate Trump was infinitely better than Candidate Harris. I will never regret voting for Trump, because based on the information I had at the time, he was the best pick. He ran on not doing WW3, Harris ran on doing WW3. Trump could do plenty of things to make me feel he had betrayed me, but my '24 vote was solid at the time.
I'm of two minds on this topic. On one hand, you're absolutely right about Trump vs. Harris, and we would probably be fighting in Ukraine if Harris won.
On the other hand, if we go to war with Iran, Trump will be perpetuating the same cycle that the other Democrats and Republicans have kept going for the last 30 years. Destroy Middle Eastern countries, create a massive number of refugees, and hasten the demographic collapse of the Western World. Frankly, I don't expect there to be a Western Civilization of note in the next 50 years if this continues.
Trump was elected precisely so that he could slow the collapse, at the very least. Seeing him hasten it in this way, make him look like an idiot at best, and a traitor at worst.

And I will absolutely condemn him as an abominable monster and traitor, if he does that. But that's different than regretting my vote. Like you said, we'd probably already be officially at war in Ukraine or something if he hadn't won.
Like I said, there's plenty he could do that would make me feel betrayed, and make me stop supporting him. World War 3 is pretty much the top of the list, too. But I will never regret my vote. I voted correctly in 2024, no matter what. Even if Trump does something that ends up making me despise him, he was the better candidate at the time. I will never apologize for voting for him. Unlike Dave Smith. Who I like, for the record. I just think he's wrong on his stance, and/or phrasing of it.

No argument from me. I'm very disappointed. I'm just willing to give things a bit more time before declaring war on Trump. I still hope we can avoid the broader conflict.
TL;DR: Trump could do a lot to lose my support...but voting for Trump with the information we had on hand in the 2024 election was the correct move, and I will never regret it.
