On the other hand, if we go to war with Iran, Trump will be perpetuating the same cycle that the other Democrats and Republicans have kept going for the last 30 years.
And I will absolutely condemn him as an abominable monster and traitor, if he does that. But that's different than regretting my vote. Like you said, we'd probably already be officially at war in Ukraine or something if he hadn't won.
Like I said, there's plenty he could do that would make me feel betrayed, and make me stop supporting him. World War 3 is pretty much the top of the list, too. But I will never regret my vote. I voted correctly in 2024, no matter what. Even if Trump does something that ends up making me despise him, he was the better candidate at the time. I will never apologize for voting for him. Unlike Dave Smith. Who I like, for the record. I just think he's wrong on his stance, and/or phrasing of it.
Trump was elected precisely so that he could slow the collapse, at the very least. Seeing him hasten it in this way, make him look like an idiot at best, and a traitor at worst.
