The key points of why Iran is getting ass blasted are they're a terrorist state who apparently almost has nukes, and has committed to trying to genocide the jews.

Listen buddy, those people are still going to be there (most of them) when the regime falls. There are profound regional consequences for every neighboring country. Mass population displacement into Europe is likely. Civil war may or may not happen. NATO allies may or may not be sucked in. Future negotiations with Russia will be affected. Vast quantities of natural resources and weapons will be in play. Who are the likely successors of the countries forming from the chaos and what ethnic groups do they come from?
Even if you're sociopathically cold to 92M people, which is what I think you're getting at, you should do a little bit of thought as to how the US could manipulate postwar conditions to our advantage. If you're not a moron, anyway.

I'm going to try to put this in a hypothetical that you can understand.
Say some guy rapes your daughter and threatens to rape her again and the cops won't do anything. You know you have to protect your daughter and you have a gun. The guy loafs around on his porch all day and is an easy target.
The point of this scenario is that it's unimpeachably moral and you have a duty to act, just as you see us and Iran.
According to you, all that is needed is to stroll over to the guy's porch and blow him away as soon as possible. Are the cops going to arrest you? Who's going to provide for your daughter? Do you have a criminal lawyer? Is there a way you could better accomplish this? Nah, consequences don't matter. Me kill rapist.
