idk about y’all, but personally i’m constantly stuck between two mentalities when it comes to dealing with maga and just generally ignorant people.

protect my peace, don’t engage with ignorance. just keep living my own life in the way i believe to be right and don’t waste energy on things and people who don’t align.

confront it head on. don’t let them believe they’re right or stronger than us. have the difficult conversations and hope that maybe just maybe something you’ll say will plant just a singular thought in their head that could lead to something great.
on one hand, it feels like most of these people are such a lost cause. it feels so overwhelming to try and tackle this problem and it feels like a never ending battle. i NEED to protect my peace and my own mental and physical well-being because arguing with them is exhausting and useless. on the other hand, the more we opt to not engage in these confrontations, the more permission we allow them to form this eco chamber of like minded individuals and allow for this cult to grow. also, how privileged am i that “protecting my peace” is even an option for me because this isn’t life or death for me, but it is for a lot of people and i owe it to them to fight using my privilege.
either way, i’m burnt out. i’m so tired of living in this reality. i’m so utterly disgusted by what this country has become at the hands of the this administration and its followers.

The funny thing is that this motherfucker has carefully crafted this post for what xe believed would have the most impact. You can always tell by the uncapitalized letters at the start of each sentence. It's a very "fellow kids" sort of thing. Xe's trying to appear as so powerless xe can't even hit the Shift key anymore, like Drumpflemort is sapping the very soul out of him, because xe thinks that elicits sympathy.
What I'm saying is that these people are histrionic retards.
Could also be that xe's just lazy and wants to get xe's attention bait out as quickly as possible.
