I forgot about how insanely litigious America is. Personally I always feel weirded out about how Americans half joke about getting sued or suing someone for a crack in the pavement.
Not just being sued, but also just the ease of breaking some unknown regulation of some sort, misfiling taxes, and plenty of other shit. Just because you know how to mow a lawn doesn't mean you know how to comply with US tax law, nor does it mean you know all the federal, state and local laws that could possibly relate to your buissiness as well as which laws have priority when a conflict arises.
Isn't that how basically every country works? How much of a shithole do you have to be to where the police don't even bother to respond to easy work like that?
