Looks like Trump learned from 2020. He's sending Marines to LA. (archive.is)

Sending Marines or other non-NG military to act on American soil does set a dangerous precedent

Eisenhower already set that precedent by sending the 101st Airborne into Arkansas to force negros into white schools at bayonet point.

Or Herbert Hoover, who sent the Army to force WWI veterans wanting to redeem their fucking bonus coupons out of Washington DC.

Whoa, I guess I misremembered that one. I really thought that was the Guard, but it was indeed the Airborne. Totally fucked up, either way.

Or Herbert Hoover, who sent the Army to force WWI veterans wanting to redeem their fucking bonus coupons out of Washington DC.

Also absolutely fucked up.

This is what the Civil Rights Act of '64 looks like.. The public image of MLKjr's "peaceful protests" is yet another lie covering up the fact that communists stripped Americans, at gunpoint, of their right to local governance and freedom of association in the 60s.

It was the 101st Airborne of "Nuts" and Band of Brothers fame too (I'm at least pretty sure anyway). It was the premier military unit to use from a symbolic standpoint.

And back in 1992, both the Marines and the Army were sent in to help the NG deal with the Rodney King riots.
