I was watching the episode of Columbo with him in London. There isn't a non-white person in any wide shot. And at one point he's taking pictures at the tourist spots, still whiteys. I said something to my boomer mom about London being minority-majority and having an Indian mayor, and she looked at the tv and said that couldn't be right

That was probably aired around the early 70s. So his statement doesn't hold water up to 50 years ago.
