I think they're trying "lol look at what white ppl do when their sportsball team wins" as a defense.
I never got the turning car bit, even in my normie sports guy phase.
It's not something I'd do either but there's a big difference between lighting a dumpster on fire because you're drunk and think it would be cool and torching one because you want to overthrow the US government, even if they basically look the same.
