The organizers were tricked into doing everything legally and by the book, with police security, permits, the whole 9 yards, and the city yanked the rug out from under them. Told the police to stand down, closed the permitted demonstration venue, and forced all the rallygoers out into the streets right into the maw of the violent far-left counter-protesters.
