One of the Spider-Verse variants of Spider-Man is basically that when the timeline branches after the Spider-Man Versus Wolverine comic from 1986. Spider-Man stays in Europe with Wolverine to try and redeem himself after having accidentally killed Charlie. Because of the further conflict Spider-Man experiences there he ends up being trained by Wolverine and becomes the worlds best assassin, even upgrading his webshooters to include wrist mounted firearms.

I remember, I really enjoyed that one.
There's also a single splash panel in Grim Hunt where Web shows Peter what he'll turn into if he kills Kraven.
In that one Peter just grows his hair long and gets a badass pea coat that I thought was the height of fashion in high school.
