I think there's a certain level of fake to it. They both needed each other for a specific task, and now it's over. It's not supposed to be a perfect group that gets along, but people who happened to have a similar need for a specific thing.
Sort of like how Trump is dealing with the middle east. He doesn't agree with them, but wants to do business. Same with Musk, he did the research and presented it. What happens now is negotiation.
Musk has clients that don't like Trump, and vice versa. So, end the partnership when the project is done.
As inconsistent as it is, it seems to be some form of realism. If something isn't working... stop.
Hell, nobody claimed Trump would start stepping away from Israel and Netanyahu, but it became necessary and it won him friends in the Arab world.
I don't have an answer to what will or will not work out because the whole administration seems to be playing everything by ear, for better or for worse.
Pretty much. Whatever is going on isn't the Kayfab we're used to, but probably not the fight we think it is.
