So a typical Tiny Hat destabilises an already fragile nation; creates a crisis; creates a bunch of low-IQ refugees who conveniently need to be moved into first-world nations, and then they get a generation (or generations) of non-thinking, slaves in a two-tier fiefdom.

It's more tiring seeing how frequently the pattern has been popping up lately to prove everyone right. The problem is that all this noticing hasn't quite resulted in any kind of... corrective reactions.
