I was reminded of how different things have become last night. Watching Chinatown, a crime drama movie from 1974. At a certain point the main character slaps a woman across the face for lying, or hell I think maybe more suspecting a lie. Then continues to slap her until he gets the truth. It didn't feel like any big moment to the movie either. If that was in a movie now it would be the talk of urinalists. Another counter to the whole empathy argument that leftists use, just minutes later after getting the truth he feels bad for the woman's situation and helps her. It was never really anything more than quickly delivered message to quit slithering around like a snake and lets get to the facts so I can help you.
