This. My best buddy left for Denver many years ago for work. His parents followed soon after. Basically all his family lives in Colorado, Arizona or Montana now. But... He grew up on the outskirts of Seattle when it was still the Seattle of the nineties/ early 00s. He knows it is a shit hole, but it will always be home to him.
