Netanyahu just made these remarks at a legislative session:

"We are destroying more and more homes, and Gazans have nowhere to return to. The only inevitable outcome will be the wish of Gazans to emigrate outside of the Gaza Strip," he added.

The "main problem" preventing Gazans from leaving the Strip is with the countries where they would emigrate to, not Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee on Sunday.

If there was any doubt as to what they're going to do with the land, they cleared that up as well:

"I know I will disappoint some people here, but we are not talking about Israeli settlement in the Gaza Strip right now," he stated.

"Bring the Jews from the United States, this way we'll hit two birds with one stone," MK Limor Son Har-Melech (Otzma Yehudit) retorted.

This news surprises almost no one, but it is incredibly significant. Israel has just officially removed almost all of the distance between it and the Nazi regime from which it derives its ultimate reason for being.

The original sin of the Nazis in postwar liberalism is not the Holocaust - that's just the propaganda showpiece. The Holocaust is understood as merely an inevitable extension of prewar German beliefs about race, to wit, that the "master race" deserved to be able to live apart from the interference of others. The idea that Germany must get rid of the Jews is the essential core of the moral condemnation of Nazis. That's called ethnic cleansing, and to cement the postwar moral order, it was codified as a war crime.

I struggle to articulate the importance of this because the natural response is to point out, "Everyone knows the US ignores its allies' war crimes when it suits them." Yes. That is absolutely true. But there is a massive difference between lying and propagandizing various proxy actions and clandestine interference on one hand, and publicly and officially flouting your supreme moral code on the other.

The moral understanding of WWII is the founding mythology of the postwar order. This is the magic spell that hypnotized the Greatest Generation, and then boomers, to accept the Great Society, the civil rights movement, desegregation, and replacement migration. "You want to racially separate people in any way, implicit or explicit? That's what the NAZIS DID!!"

This is the battering ram that shattered the walls of Rhodesia and South Africa. ("The Nazis wanted to get rid of blacks!!") Essentially, this ideology is the reason that white people are an endangered species.

Israel has just moved to tear down that founding mythology. If you tear down your own myth, you dispel the hypnosis over the mainstream population that allows you to command society. It's almost tantamount to committing suicide.

By their own admission, there is now almost no daylight between Jewish supporters of Israel - or any supporter of Israel - and Nazis.
