What escalation? These fuckers are deranged. The "bystander" was the one who escalated the situation, and came over to provoke, intimidate, and try to ruin via social media. And the perpetrator is the kid who allegedly was stealing.
Some people have said he had kids there (and the accusation wasn't pedophilia, it was rape of a sixteen year old)...and it doesn't really matter anyway. Whether or not he's a pedo or rapist, we can judge him as the aggressor in that interaction regardless of anything else, just from the behavior in the video he himself filmed. He came at and confronted her, and she was backing away.
The other stuff definitely makes it worse (if he doesn't have kids...yeah, sketchy as fuck), but even if he was squeaky clean (he's not), he's still the one being confrontational. He wanted the drama, he wanted to "catch" her, he wanted to ruin her.
