Everyone just thinks of Autism as Rainman, so the people with it that don't get Awesome Special Super Powers just get categorized as "oh he is just retarded" in their mind.
Like, my brother got a touch of the 'Tism. The only thing he gained is the ability to never get bored of doing the same repetitive task. As a kid he would just replay level 1 of the same game all day long, or watch the same movie instantly again once it finished. So he got the super power to be an excellent factory line worker.
But that isn't a sexy discussion and doesn't make anyone money. So guys like him aren't even considered. All focus goes on girls who need infinite therapy/meds (which they'd still be doing without autism because they are modern white women), and guys who might make a billion dollars through their autistic magic.
