I mean they've seen what happened to concord and Rockstar dev isn't fatalist like Volition or Bioware. Also they lost tons of goodwill from the average gamers with fuckups like definitive edition, dismissing a lot of original creators and I think CEO inserting foot in his mouth and talking about raising the price of the game to $100 without reading the room. They saw the colder reception towards their new precious IP even from the normies, I'm imagining they are in way more panic than I think.
