Good, less people wasting their money in casinos (and less gambling addictions) is a good thing for society.
They'll just turn to online gambling apps to take their pound of flesh.
Unfortunately the SCOTUS case Murphy v. National Collegiate Athletic Association in 2018 opened the door for states to legalize gambling. Which is what's killing Vegas now, they have a lot more competition than just Atlantic City.
