Yeah, one would think violence should be 90% white if one believed in the blank slate theory that everybody is equally capable of incivility - you know the science deniers, flat earthers, adults that believe in Santa Claus.

One should base one's views on the most reliable data, which in this case is overall lynchings and race of victim. Generally there's a body and the race is recorded, but who did it and why is more nebulous. What one named group among others took credit for is not a solid foundation to work from.
