Imagine, if you will, that Malaysian-born Minister of Foreign Affairs Penny Wong didn't care to save a white Australian guy stranded in southeast Asia.
This would never have happened in the old times. A guy getting abused like this would have been a stain on the dignity of all Australians.
I'm not watching a 2 hour interview but this part doesn't make sense to me.

A lot of people because it's cheap for Westerners there. And a lot of Westerners don't know that Cambodians are racist against white people.
What country isn't racist against White people?
I actually had to think long and hard for an answer. South Korea and a handful of European countries are not racist against white people. Most of these European countries being in Central and Eastern Europe. That's about it. The rest of the world is racist against white people. That's sad considering white people haven't really done anything to deserve that. Japan is not entirely racist against white people though. They are somewhere on the fence.
It's a lack of understanding/wilful ignorance of human nature. They have done nothing to deserve it by median white people standards. Soft, nerdy kids who get good grades but can't stand up for themselves are hated by most of the world, it's only in majority white and some flavors of Asian schools where they just get some intermittent bullying instead of relentless asskickings. White people turned into that kid on an ethnic scale.
Slum people also hate naive do-gooders who don't have a proper understanding of dog-eat-dog hierarchies and the balls to back up their moralizing. Which is basically what the end of the pax imperium and post colonialism era showed, a people who wanted to force good behaviour but refused to accept the entirety of their role as the big dog once they proved they could force the issue.
So hate isn't the core of it, most of the world is instinctively disgusted by white people's combination of success and softness, which very quickly translates to hatred afterwards.
And it even makes sense to have that instinct in a lot of contexts. When you're surrounded by ruthless savages it is incredibly frustrating and detrimental to your survival if the people who are supposed to have your back are largely cucks and pussies. An instinctive disgust for that behavior helps weed out dead weight in a society based in violence and distrust.
Depends on where in Japan. Okinawa ain't so hot on whites.
