I liked the demo, it had a classical military vibe to it. Is it like that or a bait and switch and we get a bunch of stronk women to put the men right?

I've been watching someone play through it as background stuff.
Plot is kinda meh, mechanics seem good, but nothing super unique. Turn limits exist, and easy to work with, but it feels kinda arbitrary too (then again, so does xcom half the time and I loved xcom). Seems worth it if you want to play through the game once, but it seems like there's low replayability.
Note: I think the person I'm watching is 2/3rds of the way through the game, based on plot beats I've seen. Could be more, could be less, but seems not end game yet. Definitely more than half way though.
