Yet again, the Media Literate™ crowd misses the point. The miracle of bread and fish is about divine providence, it's about seeking and trusting Christ.
"The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing"
And that's if you don't give it a more metaphorical meaning like bread and fish representing the works and teachings of christianity. Christ wasn't being "a commie", he was showing he is the only way to God
