They literally have no reason to act any differently.
Their job is to make line go up for the stockholders, legally they must do this. Everything else is secondary to that.
Their second job is to secure their escape route when things go belly up. They just need to network just well enough and secure their golden parachute to jump to the next host and continue their parasitic cycle.
