After that post about the misandrist dogshit Takemine show, I'm curious if there are any other anime people here actually are excited for this season.
Still pretty early season, but right now I'm watching Can a Boy-Girl Friendship Survive, Shiunji Family, Summer Pockets, Witch Watch, Country Bumpkin Swordmaster, Makina-san, and Brilliant Healer's New Life. If you can't tell, I'm pretty much a sucker for low drama romances. I think I've aged out of repetitive shonen slop, and the grimdark edgelord stuff is just a little too insufferable for me.
Finding good anime as they release has always been an utter crapshoot. You gotta wade through a river of mediocrity in order to find a handful of gems.

The ratings on there are...suspect at best in my opinion. There's plenty of old shows that you've never heard of that are fantastic, so give us a sense of what kind of show you're interested in and we can guide you towards something good.
Wholly unprompted, I'd suggest Oh Edo Rocket for a good mix of humor, sci-fi and historic period piece. Torrent it on nyaa.si. If you can't find it there I can probably figure out how to get you an invite to bakabt.
Thank you!
Yes, MAL rates are 'sus' sometimes. One needs to look at the total votes, the high traffic ones should be more accurate.
I think 6.5 is the "average"? So if it's under 6 it's likely bad, and over 7.5 or 7.7 it's likely good. Of course it's just a "rule of thumb" since individual anime can be just your favorite but low, or horrible but hyped.
