I'm in the same boat as you. It's the condescension and delegitimization of my position the same way you would mock a teenager for being afraid of the dark. It bypasses the seriousness of the situation.
I was "the funny kid" growing up, so when I tried to be serious everyone would think I was still joking, which would make me extremely angry, which everyone would then get offended at like I was responding in an inappropriate way for no reason. These Leftists remind me of those people seemingly purposefully ignoring these serious situations and talking past us like our caution is unwarranted or irrelevant.
