Feminism has always maintained that they can do anything men can do (meaning they see us as equals) except in cases where they are superior. This was their case for deserving more privileges.
So to acknowledge that men have extreme superiority across basically all sports would undermine nearly all types of feminism. From the radical to even the milquetoast, admitting that they are weak (and thereby in need of the bonds of "patriarchy" or just men for protection) goes against their stated ideologies in all forms.
