In December 2017, Philadelphia City Council approved a bill that gives the city the power to regulate or ban bulletproof glass in certain businesses, particularly those operating under restaurant or eating place liquor licenses, with a focus on "large establishments"
I can’t imagine what the argument for banning people from putting up bulletproof glass must be.
Basically the same ridiculous arguments the guy was making in the video “people shouldn’t have to eat in food deserts getting fed through a hole in the wall”. Well maybe if you people didnt steal anything that wasn’t bolted to the ground and didn’t act like wild animals it wouldn’t have to be that way.

Some Cali city, Oakland? Tried banning bulletproof glass too. Dozens of business served notice they'd shut down forever without it, or demanded the city pay for the replacement glass which used to get broken every single week. The city backed off, but no doubt they're still scheming to sneak that regulation in someplace.
And yes, the reason was racism. Having such glass in "certain neighborhoods" was demeaning to the residents there. You know what else is demeaning? Replacing windows 50 times a year...
Sometimes I feel bad for business owners in liberals cities and sometimes I don’t. The writing has been written on the wall a long time ago. Get out while you can. The people that govern over you clearly don’t care if you go out of business or get killed.
Or worse yet, having employees get hurt or killed on the job
