Everything you said is true but only if lies are consistently reinforced by an overbearing structure that encompasses everyone all the time. What happens when said overbearing structure loses it's ability to maintain control over the narrative? You get the fall of USSR and communism in Europe. Sure, there will be those who will hold onto dogma no matter what, but they are not going to live forever and their dogma will follow them to the grave.
