If they haven't claimed it, which involves actually traveling to the country and purposefully filling out the paperwork, they aren't dual citizens.
Otherwise any country in the world could disqualify any US politician or fed that has ancestral ties to them. Do you really want the UK to be able to disqualify our politicians by simply declaring them citizens?
The difference here is that one particular country doesn't turn down anyone who has the ancestry they like. No matter what crimes they commit, they have one escape route that won't extradite them.
So every jew is disqualified because Israel, a country they may or may not have ties to, gives them preference? Even if they are among the jews that condemn the state of Israel?
