Smacks of a minstrel show, tbh. Something's deeply inauthentic about it; one of the multicultural elite, who usually plays with the upper class whites, playing herself off as lower class black. It strikes me as layers of masking, which is why I was asking where her authentic self is-- because I don't see it.
