It isn’t at all but it’s a seemingly abstract cost to liberals who can support it to feel good and kind. They don’t immediately feel the cost of our tax money going to it, so in their heads it has no cost. So shutting it down is just being mean. Asking the actually donate or live like christian friar Is out of the question though, because that’ll effect them immediately.
