Its a show of how far we've devolved as a society, that back in the day a dumped off baby was a rarity and you could trust society enough to know that it was likely for good reason and everyone would come together to help.

You can't even begin to trust that now, for a plethora of reasons. I'd be calling the cops before I even picked the little thing up now out of paranoia.
