I think the larger effect is technology.

I've noticed that Discord Servers are becoming Longhouses for women who sort and filter men and women within their social circle.

Given the circumstances of poor mate choices, notice the Greentext mentioned bars, speed dating, and clubs. None of those places promote commitment. Women can offer sex, children, and the creation of a community; but men offer commitment. None of those places value commitment. And if a man is going to make a commitment why would he ever go to bar, club, or speed dating site to offer it?

He will go to a place that will value his commitment, where the people there will value it as well.

... but I've never heard of a place that value's a man's commitment, so I have no idea where that would be, or what it would look like, which probably explains why they are just dropping out of the dating pool.
