Here is the thing bro. Women don't buy drinks. Women get men to buy them drinks.
So when guys stop handing out free drinks left and right, because it won't ever get them female attention, then spending in bars drops significantly.
Without the possibility of picking up, why would a man go to a club or a bar? If I just want to hang with my bros I'll grill by my pool, thanks.
Underrated argument. The dudes that were buying drinks, stopped going to bars. It was being abused by women, and often a humiliation ritual. Somewhere along the way they all trained each other en masse to accept the drink, then mock the donor to fight patriarchy.
