Unfortunately I kinda believe this is what happens when you don't have strong leadership at the top and institutions, you try to rule by vice and blackmail from said vice.

In other cultures they simply go 'comply or we'll kill/make you disappear'. Others get through with a strong traditional society setup. The West plies vices (sex, drugs, money etc) to control people and what better way to control people than making them have sex with minors abd using that info to blackmail them.

.....too many people in the West need Jesus..
