Yeah but the Five Eyes program has been going on for years. This sort of espionage against allies has been going on for a long time. We can't spy on our citizens so we just ask them what they dug up when they were spying on our citizens and then we do the same for them. I guess it's a problem now because Trump is back in office and he and JD Vance are busy telling Europe to sort their shit out so relations are souring.
