It's surprising that reddit did anything about it.

I guess his mistake was saying this out loud. Reddit staff prefer to censor and manipulate things quietly so that normies don't notice.

Even a boomer doesn't like it when you say "I am censoring you for your beliefs now".

I don't know how 'official' the city subs are, but given that, especially since it's the sub for a state capitol, a mod openly claiming they're rebuking the constitutional rights of users on partisan lines could open Reddit up for lawsuits.
