Flag football is gay when you are in middle school and it'll be even gayer to see teen/adult women doing it, especially if they try to celebrate.
Clearly getting brain damage and broken bodies is fine for black men (and the rare white ones), but god forbid girls maybe get injured. They know they'd never sign up for or be allowed to do that, so they pick the gay option and avoid the topic about "men destroying themselves for our sport" entirely.
In Canada we always played 'two-hand touch' which was pretty satisfying, because you could be fairly aggressive without needing helmets or pads. Flag does seem pretty gay.
