It's a setting each channel has. If it's on, no one can embed.

Yeah, just signed in in Incognito to check; no videos are playable, from YouTube, from the sidebar recommendations even.
They completely nuked everything if you're not signed into an account; and even if you are, in the case of embedding.
Creators are going to once again be absolutely fucking pissed.

Wow, that's weird. I played a Youtube video on another win and it worked fine.
It was from a smaller channel, though.
It's probably some limited rollout or something; one of YouTube's gay tests. It might affect some people, and not others.
