So many questions about this.
will the Palestinians ever agree to this plan? I don't see a way for this to go forward if they don't.
he seemed to say the Palestinians will be employed cleaning up the rubble?
will we deploy "peacekeeping" infantry?
ethnic cleansing?
will the US literally own Gaza now? when the area gets cleaned up, what is the mechanism by which it will be transferred to the Israelis so they can build condos?
I don't see any real external barriers to carrying out this plan since I'm pretty sure Trump will make the Arab nations fold and agree to carve out territories for Palestinians. But the biggest barrier is what the Palestinians themselves will do in reaction. If they say no, we're going to start an insurgency, I don't see how this can happen.
Also, we absolutely CANNOT lose any EOD to cleaning up Israeli bombs.
No ("It’ll be wonderful for the people — Palestinians, Palestinians mostly, we’re talking about."), which invalidates the only reason to do it. The land isn't worthless - a little piece of America in the Mediterranean could be a good spot for an air force base if you're sick of Houthis and Somalis fucking with shipping - but charity to Gazans is pearls before swine.
