We should really have a month for veterans instead of 2 days. We don't need a month for sexual orientations or specific races

Yeah. The system is kind of weird though, that veterans apparently have to get a lot of their medical treatments at specific VA hospitals.

Why not just pay for their care wherever they wanna guy

War maims people so they need their medical bills provided for. It's a reasonable thing to do when you are asking people to risk life and limb to protect the rest of the country

You are a piece of meat, a war materiel on legs, a number on a screen to make the other guy's number on a screen go down. The moment you sign the dotted line, you are no longer human; veterans are just annoying reminders to the contrary.

The US has a proud history of shitting on veterans dating as far back as George Washington himself, for the crime of wanting their back pay after the Revolutionary War ended. The government would rather put a bullet in a veteran's head like a lame horse if they could get away with it.
