Anyone able to recommend any good newer RPGs without any woke elements shoved in?
I made the mistake of buying Drova - Forsaken Kin without looking into it first thinking it was the perfect way to scratch the Gothic itch only to be greeted by Body Type 1 & 2 and a black celt/viking druid within the first minute.
The only other RPGs I've got my eyes on are Tainted Grail (still Early Access) and Skald (not liking the limited color scheme).
If you are interesting I also recommend Enderal: Forgotten Stories - free on Steam but you need Skyrim to play it.
Technically a mod for Skyrim but it's a different system in a different world with a great story that is engaging. It's not as open world as Skyrim and you even have well written companions.
Only reason I didn't include it in my initial recommendation is that it's from 2019 and shockingly 2019 was 6 years ago.
Totally forgot Enderal. I installed it once at some point but never played it.
You just have to. It's now on my favorite game list. Good story, interesting characters, no woke as I remember. Only thing I didn't like was that half the guards are women and the mod that makes all guards male or female does not work.
It was the same in Skyrim and women/men are designed to be equal in most fantasy games since at least the 90s but it takes me out that a high mortality world would not prioritize having kids.
