Sure, but normally with such situations there has to be classified and demarked terrorist groups. The FBI didn't label those people terrorist, just potential recruits for anti-government radicalism that could lead to them becoming terrorists or being recruited by the explicit terrorist groups that I talked about.
I think it's okay to deport people who aren't citizens who support terrorism. Our fight is not on deporting terrorist sympathizers, but what counts as a terrorist group.
I agree, but that's just always going to be a fight for any situation where the government creates a category. Either we fight on the definition of the category forever, or we abolish the category entirely.
Honestly I’m not even sure the category of “terrorist” is a valuable one. It’s just “random murder/acts of violence for ideological reasons” and murder/violence is already illegal
I’m not sure how much, if at all, someone’s “ideology” should factor into whether or not they are punished for their actions
