American jurisprudence is founded on principles, not "this-not-that" lists of "good" and "bad" intoxicants. If Americans are permitted to intoxicate their bodies, then which substance they choose shouldn't be of concern. Do people abuse alcohol? Obviously. Do people abuse drugs? Obviously. But people can also use both responsibly. So what's the difference?
Maybe it has something to do with the fact that marijuana has legit medical applications for chronic pain relief, particularly neuropathic pain, that make Big Pharma drugs (like addictive opiates) obsolete? Nah, it couldn't be that. Could it? 🤔
