The issue they have is that unattractive men have the same urges and desires as everyone else and they'd rather said men just paid into society and remain invisible to them. We're already seeing the beginning of demands for criminalising unwanted attention and communication. I'd say he dodged a bullet.
I basically agree with you, but it should be noted that you can improve your levels of attractiveness 90 percent by healthy eating, working out, propper grooming, dressing well, and being friendly. You can skip almost all of those things if you're hilarious or rich.
There's an avenue for all of us to maximze our attractiveness (self care, being funny, or making lots of money) if we're willing to put in the effort.
This might be a unpopular opinion but while all these things are good to do, the problem is that these things grossly oversold to the point where it's sold as the solution to everything - that someone who is a 1/10 can become a 10/10 if they do all these things. There was a video recently by Aydin Paladin which described the concept of Toxic Positivity and what I see from the self-help communities online is that they tell everyone to lift and touch grass as a cure all solution (usually while selling a programme). That attraction is purely down to muscles, style and clothes, and that genetics, height, money or status have zero or minimal effect. Optimism without realism.
The thing is, most of those things will work for most guys. Sure, you'll never become 10/10 Chad who can pull any women. But you'll be able to garner some success with a decent number as long as you aren't incredibly deformed.
The lacking discussion is that most guys who are in the category of needing that advice are mentally unfit to handle the pressures of going through it.
The "just lift" community believes that by doing so you will simply become more confident in yourself both through looking better and the dopamine rush lifting brings, which once again is true most of the time but not a guarantee. And for those it doesn't work for, their mental instability will shine through like a beacon to women.
Someone with an extremely broken mind for whatever reason isn't going to become shredded enough to not give girls "the irk" (go ask the guys on /fit/), and often times that is what needs the most work first.
However, the opposite problem is most guys going into these "Self help" forums are also completely unrealistic. Your comment I think shows it best where a 1/10 wants to become a 10/10, which is a level of optimism that will guarantee failure for anyone. The marketer will of course over sell, but the buyer is responsible for himself.
If a guy doesn't have some level of natural affinity for it, he won't ever reach 10/10 status. But any guy short of the 0.01% of truly deformed or mentally ill monsters can reach some success with those tactics, even that is going from 100/100 rejections to 95/100.
I think theres some truth to what he's saying, but there's more to it. We know rich guys get women. Old crusty rich guys can get a woman any time they want. Are they quality women? Hell no, but that's another topic of discussion.
I've seen plenty of fat guys with attractive wives. They're usually pretty funny and upbeat dudes who make their wives feel special.
I've also seen plenty of not super attractive people marry each other.
I also know a guy who was horribly burnt and he married a good looking woman. He is ugly as fuck in the outside, but he's beautiful on the inside.
Obviously if you're a 1 theres a limit. It's similar with IQ. Everyone has a potential range. A fat, stupid, ugly, and lazy man is not going to attract women. But that 1 could very well be a 4 or a 5 with effort. Someone who is currently a 4 might be able to be a 7 and so on. There are zero hopeless situations because even if you are a fat paraplegic you could still have an incredible personality that wins the right woman over. There's always at least one area (usually way more) in your life that you can improve that will make you more attractive. But yeah, no woman wants an unemployed slob who makes them feel awkward.
Some irony is that Aydin Paladin is blessed with terrible genetics.
She is cursed with "put the screen down" fugliness.
She definitely has a voice for radio.
I listened to her audio podcast with Spoon for awhile, then was really taken aback when I saw her physical appearance on Lotus Eaters. It was very distracting.
Maybe. I know a guy who is fairly handsome but nothing special and is like 5'5" at best who has a beautiful fiance. He's absolutely shredded and he's hilarious. Any woman that automatically writes you off for height isn't worth your time anyway. She isn't worth the time of the 6 foot guy either
Guess it was an ugly guy who gave her the note. It be cute from a handsome guy. Sorry ugly guy
Rules for flirting:
Be attractive.
Don't be unattractive.

I say this with love, as I do enjoy her content.
But damn, girl !
Very true. Why I’m working on losing a lot of weight
