Not sure what your point is other than to be a contrarian.
No other group even plays lip service to universal human rights. It's a large part of the reason that we are where we are.
The point is that this place would not even exist if Western governments respected human rights, which of course they do not. Lip service is right.
Yes, and no other group in history has ever even pretended to care about universal human rights.
Anywhere else, if the government wants you shut up/ended somehow and you can't muster sufficient force to prevent that, you get shut up/ended. At least in the west, you might be able to beat them with the legal system.
Well, they've got the pretending down, that's for sure. It's a shame they can't pretend better.
