Read Neuromancer. The hyper-wealthy aren't truly human. Corporations are an emerging dominant species that, if left unchecked, will endanger Homo sapiens.
Let me guess: This is why we need more government regulations to "control" the corporation, despite the fact that pretty much every heavily regulated industry is a practical oligarchy of corporate cohesion. Take for example the aviation industry. Or Finance/Insurance. Or Pharma.
Commie/Socialist rhetoric is always a hoot. Corporations exist through government benefits. Whether it's bailouts, tax cuts, incentive programs, regulatory lawfare, or outright market manipulation, government is the root cause of corporate existence. Growing the problem won't provide a solution.
Corporations are pieces of paper with more rights than we have, run by a group of elites who are untouchable and unaccountable by design.
Ideally we would return to the concept of ownership, and then someone would actually be responsible and face prison time when a company breaks the law, instead of receiving a fine that's lower than the profit they gained from committing the crime.
They're an abortion in progress. Wealthy retards looked at natural human communities formed around common ideals and thought they could control that to use it like a vehicle for their ego. In reality, however, such communities can only really exist where real connecting forces exist. They've tricked themselves into believing that they are personally responsible for the existence of the modern world through a shell game with money, but when they attempt to "throw back the curtain" and actually seize control, they get what they're experiencing today, and their plans fall to ruin.

"I won't believe corporations are people until Texas executes one."
If corporations were actually people, they would all be dead or in prison.
This is why the future is so terrifying. We get replaced, and if we don’t, we get to choose what dystopian feudalism we want to live under.
