The opposite of being a fan isn't hate or anger. It's cold disdain-- a closed wallet, a lost sale, and a tongue that adds to negative word of mouth.
All publicity isn't good publicity. You can't berate people into buying your game.
This is exactly what I was saying to a friend the other day about Star Wars.
I used to LOVE their films. Then I HATED their films. Now I barely even know when something new drops. I’d rather do something else.

Same for me. From TLJ through about 2022 the only thing I liked about Star Wars was talking with people endlessly about how much I fucking hated Star Wars. And once I was tired of that I have not the slightest, tiniest, quantum mechanical fuck to give about anything related to it. In fact I get bored and cringe a little whenever someone else even brings it up.
